Old Delhi has its own vibes, and nothing can beat those vibes, every gully of old Delhi have thousands of different stories to tell, and have lots of finger-licking food to eat.

So we have created a list in which you can eat all of them just under 1000 bucks, (sounds interesting)

1 – Fruit sandwich at Jain Coffee House

It’s one of the pretty places to have fresh fruit sandwiches, this place is a gem of Chawri bazaar but hard to locate, it’s inside a lane near the Chawri Bazaar metro station.

They have a variety of shakes and sandwiches, the must-try is samosa sandwich, mango sandwich, and mix fruit sandwich.

Where –  Ballimaran Rd, near PNB ATM, Raghu Ganj, Dai Wara, Chandni Chowk, New Delhi.

2 – Shahi Tukda at cool point shahi tukda

The cool point is one of the coolest dessert shops at jama masjid. They have best shahi tukda in town, their shahi tukda with rabri on the top will make you lost into the flavours right after the first bite, not only their shahi tukda is famous, their mango rabri ice cream and rabri faluda is also mouthwatering.

3 – kebab at Qureshi kabab corner

If you are a non-veg lover, you should try this place at least once in your life. This place is famous for its lip-smacking kebabs. Their kebabs are so juicy and tender, perfectly cooked with full of spices and Amul butter. This place is always busy, you may not get sitting easily, but the taste of kebab is worth the wait and money.

4 – Sharbat-e-Mohabbat

Sharbat e Mohabbat / Pyar mohabbat sharbat, this is one of the famous drink at old Delhi to beat the heat of Delhi ( haey Dilli ki garmi), so this mohabbat wala sharbat was originated by nawab Qureshi more popularly known as Pyar mohabbat sharbat wala, so the key ingredients of this delightful sharbat are milk, sugar, roohafza, watermelon and lots of love, this pyar wala sharbat there is now a landmark in old Delhi.

5 – Stuffed Fruits Kulfi at Kuremal

Kuremal kulfi is one of the oldest ice cream shops in old Delhi, and still serving the same quality, you can call it a hidden gem of old Delhi,

Why kuremal is unique?
Because they are 100 years plus old ice cream centres in Chawari Bazaar and these munchkins are made with 100 per cent natural ingredients, They have different and unique flavours of kulfis like pomegranate, Jamun, falsa, pan, and many more. And now, they opened their new store in mandi.

6 – Jablebi at Old famous JalebiWala

A legendary 130 years old Jalebi shop in Chandni Chowk, juicy and tasty Jalebi with Rabri over it will definitely win your heart, this shop is a must-try for those with a sweet tooth. The major drawback of this  of this place is that it’s very crowded all the time and you have to wait till you can have your hands on the yummy jalebis, 

Another good thing about this place is their matar samosa.

7 – Fresh Shikanji at Pandit ved Prakash Lemon wala

Chilled Nimbu Banta shot with kancha bottle soda  in the busiest Roads of Chandni chowk,  A cool refreshing drink at a legendary shop with no seating but you need to re-energize your body while exploring old Delhi, and they have only one item on their menu but worth trying.

8 – Namkeen chai at Rizki

Rizki kashmiri wazwan is famous for their authentic Kashmiri food and Namkeen chai, they served this famous kashmiri chai with a Lavasa (similar to the lavash bread), if you are a chai lover you need to add this place in your bucket list,

9 – Bhang kulfi at Dhulichand kulfi wale

This 56 years old shop is famous for their bhang kulfi at chawri bazaar, the best thing is you won’t be able to find this bhang kulfi on their regular menu, shhh. it’s a secret, the key ingredients of this kulfi are rabri and bhang, and one more thing don’t eat sweet after this otherwise you’ll end up like Leonardo Dicaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street,

10 – Chaat at Ashok chat corner

One of the best chat papdi in town, A small shop next to gate number 3 of chawari bazaar metro,  75 years old chat shop selling best chat papdi, and mouth-watering golgappes. This shop has no sitting so you need to adjust a little,

11 – Chicken Tikka at Aslam chicken

One of the best tikkas I ever had, this place is heaven for non-veg lovers, you won’t be able to forget those lip-smacking taste of chicken. The chicken dipped in all the butter and goodness, they also serve kebab, chicken fry and many more,

Where –  Bazar, Meena Bazaar, 982, Matia Mahal Rd, Kalan Mehal, Chandni Chowk, New Delhi.
Price – INR 190/- for a quarter.



12 – Pann at Brijwasi paan bhandar

It might not be the healthiest of things to eat, but it sure is one of the most flavourful digestives you’ll ever have. The little shop next to Brijwasi Bhoj restaurant is the ideal place to end your food walk in Old Delhi with a meetha or sada paan. The large-sized meetha paan (sweet paan) required a couple of bites to finish, and tasted great!
